I offer newborn sessions both in-home and in the hospital and both are focused on the connection between you and your sweet one. And that toddler on the floor? I’ll get him dressed and wipe the goldfish off his face because GIRLFRIEND YOU HAVE DONE ENOUGH. Take a deep breath, chug some coffee and laugh because as crazy as it is... these are the wild, wonderful years that you’ll miss one day.
Except those goldfish on the floor. You probably won’t miss those.

+ WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO BOOK A NEWBORN SESSION?
The ideal window is before baby is two weeks old. They are still very sleepy and don’t mind being unclothed (to capture their tiny bellies!) at this stage, plus it’s before baby acne typically sets in. HOWEVER… I often photograph babies beyond the two-week mark! The fun part of an older baby is that they are more aware…usually I get more photos with their eyes open and sometimes even a little smile!
+ WHAT’S A FRESH 48 SESSION?
This is a session that takes place in the hospital, birthing center or your home within the 1-2 days after your baby is born. Those first hours are such a special, surreal experience...I will capture all the details of your first hours with your little love.
+ what is a collection?
The session fee covers my time planning for and shooting your session. A minimum collection fee of $300 includes 25 digital downloads of your choosing from an online gallery. You will have the option to upgrade collections after viewing your gallery.
+ DO I BOOK YOU BEFORE THE BABY IS BORN?
This can be up to you. For scheduled c-sections, yes please! This is the easiest way to secure a date well in advance. Otherwise, the way I typically schedule is to mark your due date in my calendar so I’m aware of the general time frame, and when baby is here you (or someone you’ve designated) can let me know. From there we will schedule a date.
+ DO I NEED TO CLEAN MY HOUSE?
Yes and no. Your home does not need to be pristine, BUT the extent to which things are picked up (or hidden under the bed if you roll like me) will impact the spaces in your home that I’m able to utilize. More details on this will be in the prep guide I’ll send after you book!
+ HOW DO I BOOK A SESSION WITH YOU?
Send me an email to discuss my availability! Once we settle on a date, I will send you a link to pay your session fee and you’ll be all set!
+ WHAT SHOULD I DO TO PREPARE FOR MY SESSION?
Once your session is booked, I will send you a prep guide to help you with all things photo-session related.
+ WHAT ARE THE BEST TIMES AND DAYS TO SHOOT?
Mid-day is best for newborn sessions in your home or hospital, so there’s bright light coming in the windows.
+ WHAT IS YOUR TRAVEL FEE?
For travel outside of Orange County, 50 cents per mile.
+ WILL YOU BRING PROPS?
I won’t. My goal is to capture you + your baby at home and tell the story of his/her first days with your family… no props needed.
+ WHAT IF I HAVE TO RESCHEDULE MY SESSION?
Deposits are non-refundable, but you may reschedule your session one time due to non-weather or emergency related reasons. Further rescheduling will require a new deposit.
+ CAN WE HAVE THE RAW, UNEDITED IMAGES?
Nope. The full scope of my work includes the time and energy I spend editing your photos. Raw images are not available for sale.
+ HOW MANY EDITED IMAGES WILL WE RECEIVE?
My full galleries typically contain 80-100 photos. Photo download collections begin at $300 for 25 images. You will have the option to upgrade your collection after viewing your gallery.
+ WHEN CAN WE EXPECT OUR PHOTOS?
1-3 weeks after your session.
